What if my child needs medical attention?

We have strict safeguarding policies and procedures that cover all cases of students needed medical attention to ensure student safety and wellbeing. If a child requires medical attention, all of our staff are first-aid trained are able to handle minor injuries or illnesses on-site, while more serious cases are referred to the nearest NHS hospital or GP practice. In case of emergency, we have a detailed Emergency Action Plan to ensure staff and students are kept safe, receive medical attention if needed, and that parents and guardians are informed as quickly as possible.

Parents must complete a pre-arrival medical form detailing any conditions, allergies, medications, and emergency contacts. If a child takes regular medication, staff may store and administer it according to parental instructions. Parents are notified promptly if medical intervention is needed. These policies align with UK safeguarding standards, ensuring that students receive appropriate care throughout the programme.
