How secure are the campuses?
Cambridge Colleges is very secure, and the city is a safe, friendly place for visitors accustomed to welcoming a young student body.
College staff monitor public entrances to the colleges 24/7 and secure them for key access only at night. CCTV is also installed in many public areas on-site, and public visiting hours are restricted.
The accommodation is very secure and private. Participants are provided with keys and are encouraged to lock their bedroom doors during the day. Housekeeping staff will access bedrooms during the day to replace towels, etc.
Each college has a team of porters who act as the first point of contact for security within the college grounds and any out-of-hours emergency. They are available 24/7.
If participants have valuables they would like us to store securely, we will happily keep them safe in the College Manager’s office.
